A Hive of Activity in Avocets and Razorbills!

Posted on

On Monday 19th June, local bee keeper Mrs Smallridge visited Avocets and Razorbills. She brought in various bee keeping equipment for the children to investigate.

The children learnt about the habitats bees need to thrive and Mrs Smallridge also explained some of the problems bees face in the modern world such a pesticides and loss of habitat.

It was encouraging to find out that some children want to keep bees when they are older. This visit really inspired them!
