Thank you to those parents who were able to attend the Phonics meeting on Tuesday, regarding our new programme Floppy’s Phonics. It was great to see so many of you there. We really appreciate being able to share how the progression of phonics changes from its early stages in Preschool and Reception, across Key Stage 1 and beyond. We hope that you found it useful, and feel confident about how to support your children using phonics for reading and spelling. If you were not able to attend the meeting, please check your child’s book bag for a slip with links to some useful websites. As always, if you would like further information, such as the Alphabetic Code chart, please speak to your child’s teacher. We are really excited about this new approach, as Floppy’s Phonics will support us in raising standards in reading, spelling, and handwriting; and the children are already amazing us with what they can achieve!
