Who Are We?

The PTFA (Parents. Teachers, and Friends Association) are a highly committed group of volunteers who give up their time free of charge to undertake many, many activities in order to raise money for the school.

Made up mainly of parents of existing children, they work tirelessly to provide fundraisers, and other activities with the sole purpose of bringing the school community together and also raising valuable money for the school along the way.

Recent fundraisers have provided the school with:

  • Funds to cover class and school trips
  • Classroom materials
  • Money towards visiting theatre groups and other special visitors
  • Funds to help purchase computers and other equipment

We are very lucky to have an extremely active group of volunteer parents here at Starcross, and we value their contribution very highly indeed.

The Next Event will be: The PTFA AGM will be held in September 2020 – date to be confirmed

There are plans for the school to hold its very own RACE FOR LIFE – this will take place on 20th March

The plan is that throughout the day, all of the children will get the opportunity to go out onto the field to complete a set distance of running / walking / or both.  Your children will raise money via sponsorship.  All money raised through the sponsorship will go directly to Cancer Research in supporting the Race for Life Charity.

Every child taking part will come home with a medal.

The PTFA will hold a Tuckshop and refreshment stall at the end of the day.
