Who Are We?

The PTFA (Parents. Teachers, and Friends Association) are a highly committed group of volunteers who give up their time free of charge to undertake many, many activities in order to raise money for the school.

Made up mainly of parents of existing children, they work tirelessly to provide fundraisers, and other activities with the sole purpose of bringing the school community together and also raising valuable money for the school along the way.

Recent fundraisers have provided the school with:

  • Funds to cover class and school trips
  • Classroom materials
  • Money towards visiting theatre groups and other special visitors
  • Funds to help purchase computers and other equipment

We are very lucky to have an extremely active group of volunteer parents here at Starcross, and we value their contribution very highly indeed.

How To Get Involved

If you would like to get involved with the wonderful PTFA, whether as a committee member or simply helping out with events, please make contact with one of the Committee Members expressing your interest.

The Next Event will be:

14th December 2018 – Christmas Raffle – Santas Grotto 3.30-5.00

17th December 2018 – Christmas Film Night – £2.50 per child to include a drink and a cookie or popcorn 3.45-5.30

18th December 2018 – Christmas Jumper Day – No charge or donations required

Everyone is encouraged to join the PTFA and / or help out at events.  We cannot run these events without volunteers.
