As part of Science Week, Miss Mann decided to share some science she is involved with with the Sea Grass Initiative and Living Coasts.
Most people will know that Miss Mann is an avid SCUBA diver and will share pictures and stories with the children about dives . Therefore, it was lovely to be given the opportunity to share this during Science Week.
We started by talking about what sea grass is and why it is so important. We also discussed where we have sea grass beds.
Did you know? About 70% of our oxygen comes from marine plants including sea grass?
After this, Miss Mann shared some photos of marine life she had surveyed in the sea grass and in our local area.
We then discussed how to help the sea grass habitats and to try and prevent plastic littering.
Please enjoy some photos below of marine creatures from our local area.
