A team of Year 3 and 4 children took part in Exeter City’s World Cup football tournament.
To mark the 2018 World Cup starting in Russia, Exeter City Football Club organised the event for local schools. Each team was given the name of a nation that is taking part in the World Cup and the Starcross team were representing Argentina.
Although we didn’t get through to the knock-out stages of the competition, all the children worked hard and played brilliantly as a team, winning two of our matches and drawing two more.
The Starcross team was also chosen for the Fair Play award for showing respect to each other, the other teams and the referees.
It was a great day that the children thoroughly enjoyed and they made our school proud. Well done!
